  Corporate Overview

M.O.I., Inc. a contract furniture dealership, was established in 1983 to provide specifications, procurement, complete installation, and project management of furnishings for offices, medical facilities, hospitals, universities and state, local, and federal governments. M.O.I. is the largest Knoll dealer in the United States and one of the largest Kimball dealers in the country.

M.O.I. is both a regional company - servicing corporations and government agencies in the local Washington, D.C. metro area and a national corporation -working with a network of service providers for global federal and corporate requirements.

We have forged strong partnerships with companies whose quest for excellence matches our own and have a network of professionals with years of experience. We have dedicated over twenty years to creating an environment that fosters creativity, growth and a quest for excellence in all of our day-to-day transactions.

 
 

  Our Organization

M.O.I. is headquartered in Baltimore County and employs 170 people. Our 15,000 square foot showroom located in Arlington, Virginia serves the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia area and our Richmond showroom provides sales and service to the southern Virginia market.

In 2001, the company began the process of becoming employee owned with the ultimate goal of the company to be 100% employee owned over time.

Our understanding of the process, from furniture selection to installation, provides us with the necessary expertise to successfully manage projects of any scale. From the initial interview with our client to the final punch-list, M.O.I.'s project control system is targeted to meet the client¿s requirements and satisfy the project's design details whether the project is five or five hundred workstations.

  Our Philosophy

M.O.I. originally was formed with the underlying belief that the success of a company lies in the level of customer support and employee satisfaction.

Our philosophy is that close interaction between our Account Executive, our designated Project Designer and Project Manager and their communication with the client is the foundation for successful projects. Our approach is to listen to you - the client, understand your needs and then find the solution to meet your requirements.

We also believe in being a good corporate citizen and supporting the needs of others. We are proud to say that our company and our employees generously contribute to many national and community charitable organizations.
