There is a reason why new, Grade A systems furniture costs so much: it's built to last.  That also means it's built to be remanufactured.  At Alternative Business Furniture, Inc. (ABF), we've refined our process and skills to the point there is very little difference between new and remanufactured systems furniture. We stock large inventories of Herman Miller Action Office, Haworth Unigroup and Steelcase systems furniture, and custom remanufacture each component according to the specifications of each order.  We can match custom paint colors, and offer broader selections of fabrics and surfaces than the original manufacturers do. All metal parts are power sanded and repainted in our own three-phase paint department.  We use environmentally friendly, water-based paints that wear as hard or harder than baked-on enamel. Our full-service woodshop produces new worksurfaces, handles custom cuts and builds top-quality conference, occasional and cube tables. Our fabrication department follows original manufacturer application specifications to turn used panels, flipper doors, and tackboards into like-new components. What makes ABF unique is that all of our remanfuacturing is done under one roof at our own Eden Prairie facility.  We don't "farm-out" work like many other remanufacturers do.  By keeping everything in-house at ABF, with our own experienced craftsmen, we can control quality, costs, and lead times.
